Bring It On, 2013

Happy New Year!!

I hope everyone had a fabulous time ringing in the new year (whether you were chillin' on the couch or out & about).  Matt had to work at 6am the next day, so I went to a little get together with some of my teacher friends and it was so fun! It was a "formal" event so we all got dressed up and you know I love any excuse to wear a fancy dress and heels! I had my sparkly phone, sparkly nails, and sparkly eye shadow too.  :)
Chillin' with my best doggy pal, Briggs
Polka dots + Colored tights + Heels with bows  :)
 Sparkly nails!

So....I don't know about you, but I'm hoping this year rocks my SOCKS off.  The last couple of years have been.....interesting.  As I was driving home from work today, I thought about all of the exciting things that will happen this year.....

~ Hopefully my students will continue to be awesome as we start the second semester
~ I'll celebrate my 26th birthday in March
~ I will finish my last 2 grad school classes and graduate with my master's degree in early May
~ I can start to rebuild my pitiful savings account again & save for a down payment on a bigger house (I already deposited lots of Christmas money!)
~ I will finish my 4th year of teaching, which means A) I will have tenure and B) I will have repaid my debt to the Teaching Fellows program!!
~ In August, I'll start earning 10% more per month (thanks to my new degree!)
~ Hopefully my marriage will get better and better each day.  We'll celebrate our 3 year wedding anniversary in May.
~ I plan to read lots of good books (and will surely blog about them!)
~ Maybe there will be some exciting trips??

It's gonna be a good one! Please let it be a good one!

Oh, and I forgot to mention that I started the year off by cutting my hair! If you can't tell from the pics above....

 Before
After! (Say hi to Aunt Lorrie in the mirror! Haha!)
New look for the new year!
