~ Getting back in the groove of things with grad school classes on Monday and/or Wednesday nights after a glorious winter break
~ Studying for the Praxis II Reading Specialist exam (which I took last Saturday - Whew!)
~ Attending 3 reading workshops on various days in January/February (and 2 more days in March) -- There are textbooks and homework assignments, too! It's like taking another mini grad school course! Not to mention that I have to type sub plans for every day that I'm at the workshops.
~ Applying and interviewing {via Skype} for a part-time job working for one of my favorite bloggers/Etsy store owners (Waiting to hear whether I got the job -- Eek!)
~ Meeting with a chiropractor and making the decision to start getting adjustments twice a week (More on that later & I'll show you my creepy x-rays!)
~ Preparing for a 2 hour presentation on English/Language Arts Common Core Standards that I gave to the kindergarten teachers and 5 others this afternoon
SO BUSY but I love to be busy so it hasn't been too bad. I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day yesterday. I definitely did. It was pretty exhausting and the kids were super hyped but I loved watching them distribute their valentines and give each other hugs. So cute! Some parents sent in cupcakes and cookies, too, so we had a little party. I got about 6 little heart-shaped boxes of chocolates (from the Dollar Store I believe - the store of choice for 5 year old gift-givers) and some other little goodies from my students.
And Matt and I were low key this year so we just had dinner at home and gave each other cards. The convo went a little like this --
"Hey babe....I'm making chili tomorrow night so we can have gas on Valentine's Day."
"Alright."
I made the chili. He made the grilled cheese. Add in a little Big Bang Theory and you've got yourself a Valentine's celebration.
He gave me 2 Reese's with my card, and then when I was in the shower last night, Reese's randomly appeared in other places around the house....like on my nightstand and on the bathroom counter! I got in my car this morning to find another one on my dash! Fun stuff! It's the gift that keeps on giving!
I wanted to show you guys the card that I got Matt because I thought it was SO CUTE! I learned about the Cardstore website from my girl, Lulu, last year and I finally tried it out. They have all these different types of cards (cute, sweet, funny, romantic) and you can personalize them and either have it mailed to yourself or directly to the recipient. You can add a photo, change fonts, "sign" it, etc. I thought it would be super expensive, but they had a special Valentine's Day coupon code and then free shipping so it was only.....drumroll please.....$1.50!! That's less than a card from Wal-Mart or Target and way more meaningful!!

So glad you used Cardstore! I seriously use it ALL the time! It's way cheaper than most stores and way more fun!
